Admission

If you are interested in our school and plan to enroll your child at BMS, we kindly ask that you complete our online application form.  When enrolling a child for grade two or above, please submit your child’s last two school reports together with the application form. Please enclose a translation of school reports that have been written in a language other than English or German, together with an explanation of any grades included in the report.

If we have a vacancy and your child meets the admissions criteria, we will invite you for a meeting and a tour of the school or conduct a meeting online using MS Teams. This meeting allows you ask important questions you may have and allows us to have a 1-1, tailored session with you and your child. Please plan on approximately 60 minutes for the meeting and school tour. We kindly ask you to bring along to the meeting any relevant student documentation.  

During this stage, student documentation and report cards are reviewed by the respective academic team. Where applicable, playdates or trial days are scheduled for our students. Follow-up discussions, where necessary, are scheduled and students in our Secondary School complete their placement test and academic consultation.

When all admissions steps are complete, we will let you know if we are able to offer your child a place at Berlin Metropolitan School. When you accept our offer, we will finalize a contract and send it to you, to be signed and returned by the date specified, together with any relevant documentation. 

Our team is ready to meet you on the first day of school and a “buddy” is assigned to your child to guide them through their first days as a new BMS student.
