On 12 June 2026, we celebrated the graduation of our IB Diploma Programme Class of 2026. Together with family, friends, and teachers, our graduates marked the end of an important chapter and the beginning of exciting new journeys ahead. Congratulations, Class of 2026!

Class of 2016 Returns to BMS for a Special Alumni Reunion

On 5 June 2026, we welcomed back our very first graduating class for a memorable alumni reunion. Former classmates reconnected, shared stories from the past ten years, and revisited the school that helped shape their journeys. Seeing our first graduates return reminds us that while students may leave BMS, they will always remain part of our community. BMS History Bee Team Reaches European Quarter-Finals

Our G11 History Bee team reached the quarter-finals at the European Championship of the International History Bee and Bowl. Questions ranged from ancient civilizations to modern global events, testing students' knowledge across the full span of human history. BMS STEM Racing Team Competes at German Championship

We are proud to share that our BMS STEM Racing Team – Pepe, Felix, Dominik, Noah, David and Ruby – recently represented Berlin at the German Championship at the Audi Driving Experience Center in Neuburg an der Donau. Competing against the top teams from across Germany, they impressed the judges with their outstanding portfolio, presentation skills, innovative design work, and creative problem-solving. Grade 11 Theatre at the Gorki — and a Meet with Youssef Schweid

Grade 11 IB Theatre students attended To the River and the Sea at Gorki Theatre on Friday 22nd May. After the show, they had the chance to meet writer and performer Youssef Schweid, a highlight for everyone.

Secondary Sports Day on 28 May

Our Grade 7 and 8 students got creative with PixelArt for our upcoming Sports Day on 28 May. Using digital design, they created colorful PixelArt pieces to cheer on our different houses and celebrate team spirit ahead of the big day. Check out their amazing work: Grade 7 | Grade 8

Secondary Theme Day

During the Secondary Theme Day, students across different year groups took part in exciting hands-on experiences beyond the regular classroom. Grade 7 explored physics by designing rollercoasters, Grade 8 gained insight into the professional world through work experience, Grade 9 discovered Berlin’s history through the Amazing Race challenge, and Grade 11 focused on key Diploma Programme elements such as CAS and the Extended Essay. AMDA School of Performing Arts Workshop & Visit

We were delighted to welcome the AMDA College of the Performing Arts to BMS. Our Grade 11 Theatre students took part in an inspiring workshop focused on acting and audition techniques, led by New York–based performers Jazmin Donaldson and Eugenio Contenti. BMS Earth Day 2026

We’re looking forward to celebrating Earth Day on Wednesday, 22 April – a global moment to reflect on how we care for our planet. Everyone in the BMS community will have the opportunity to plant a sunflower seed, take it home, and watch it grow into a beautiful flower.

Extended Essay Symposium – A Celebration of Independent Research

On 25 March, our Grade 11 IB Diploma students gathered to present their Extended Essay ideas and research plans to an audience of parents, students, and teachers from across the school community. Across nine thematic panels — spanning topics from war and conflict to mathematical modelling, film, economics, and philosophy — students shared their chosen questions and the approaches they plan to take. It was an inspiring glimpse into the curiosity and critical thinking that will shape their essays in the months ahead.

AGIS Higher Education Fair 2026

On March 18th, we welcomed representatives from 62 universities across the globe for the AGIS Higher Education Fair. Organised by our University & Career Counselor Dejana Petricic, the event gave our students the chance to explore programmes, ask questions, and take their first steps toward the future. Festival of Learning 2026 | ELC & Primary School

Our classrooms came alive on 13 March during our annual Festival of Learning, as students took centre stage — leading their parents through their learning, showcasing their progress, and reflecting on their learning journey. Alongside this, we were delighted to welcome prospective families to BMS. Through open classrooms and heartfelt speeches, they got a true feel for what makes our school special. There were smiling faces throughout the school, a lovely reminder of what our community is all about.

Secondary School Concert 2026 | City Kino Wedding

On March 13th, our Secondary School hosted its annual concert at City Kino Wedding – an evening filled with music, talent, and plenty of well-deserved applause. Together, we raised €2,308.80 for Save the Children, and none of it would have been possible without our incredible students who took to the stage, and everyone who came to cheer them on. Thank you! BMS Racing Team Qualifies for German STEM Racing Championship

Our BMS Racing Team has achieved a fantastic success at the regional STEM Racing Germany competition: the team has been named Landessieger for the state of Berlin and has qualified for the German Championship, taking place 22–23 May 2026 at the Audi Experience Center in Neuburg an der Donau. Congratulations to Ruby, Virgil, David, Felix, Mohammed, and Dominic.

Guest Speaker: Insights from a Thoracic Surgeon

Last week, our students welcomed Dr. Syed Tasnim Raza, thoracic surgeon and Professor at Columbia University, for a guest talk on the history of medicine and his work in heart surgery. We are grateful to Dr. Raza for taking the time to speak with our community and inspire our students interested in health, science, and medicine.

Sweeping success for BMS at Oxford‘s MUNAward Ceremony

From 27–30 November, 24 students from Grades 10–12 represented BMS at the 2025 Oxford MUN. Many joined their first conference and impressed throughout—with strong research, confident debating, and a clear understanding of global issues. Their excellent performance was recognised with multiple awards across several committees.

Book Day at BMS

On 21 November, we celebrated BMS Book Day alongside Bundesweiter Vorlesetag, filling the school with read-aloud sessions and shared stories. Our Book Sale & Swap raised over 600 euros for Friedensdorf International—a wonderful moment of community and connection.
