We are happy to release the BMS Secondary Concert video, featuring our incredibly talented young artists performing at our annual BMS Secondary School Concert. We hope you enjoy seeing them in action on stage!
Our Secondary students enjoyed our annual BMS Sports Day, competing in races, games, and other fun competitions with our dedicated Gym teachers Mr. Murphy and Mr. Johnstone. The day was filled with fun, laughter and lots of BMS House Spirit! Congratulations to Fire House for winning the House Cup!
We would like to thank our entire community for a wonderful school year, shaped by many events, initiatives, projects, and most of all, student learning! We hope that our school community enjoys the summer break with family & friends, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for the first day of school on August 22, 2022!
We look forward to celebrating an important milestone with 88 Grade 1 students at our annual Einschulung celebration on August 27th. BMS will welcome our Grade 1 students with a formal ceremony here at BMS, followed by a reception in our school courtyard. Stay tuned for a few impressions!
We would like to thank our youngest thespians in Grade 4 for a wonderful production of Twelfth Night, showcasing their command of the stage in recent performances held in our BMS Auditorium.
Our Grade 5 students showcased their talent with this year´s musical performance of “Change the World Together”, hosted in our auditorium. We would like to thank all Grade 5 participants who made this show an entertaining and engaging event for our community. Bravo to our students and Arts Team!
With the PYP exhibition successfully completed, our Grade 6 students will soon reach an important milestone as they graduate from our Primary School. We look forward to welcoming parents for this important event and will celebrate our students as they conclude their Primary years and join our Secondary school next year! Our Secondary faculty has been busy facilitating transition lessons for both the IBDP and Gr. 6 induction weeks, describing our curriculum programs and approaches to learning in our Secondary classrooms. Students were able to pose questions to the teachers about assignments and gain a practical experience as they take this next important step at BMS.
Before we close the academic year, we wanted to provide a long-awaited update from the HAWKS team via Coach Tom. It has been a pleasure to watch our HAWKS back in action after a series of interruptions! We would like to thank the entire team for a good season and wish Coach Tom and our HAWKS a great summer!

We would like to thank our entire community for a wonderful commencement ceremony last week, where we celebrated the accomplishments of 58 Grade 12 students and the completion of their time as students at BMS. Touching tributes through speeches, video and gifts were shared by guests during the evening´s celebrations. We would like to bid the Class of 2022 a fond farewell!

We would like to congratulate our Secondary students on the excellent outcomes of the Gauss Mathematics Competition, receiving distinction awards and accolades from the university for their achievements! A special congratulations to both Scott and Feliks who were awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award for achieving the highest mark from the BMS Cohort. Well done to our mathematicians!
We are happy to feature the 2022 IRIS Book Awards! The IRIS book competition aims to promote a love of reading and to provide a shared reading experience across BMS Primary. The outcome represents the preferences of students via a Europe-wide poll. Many thanks to our Primary School librarians for supporting this creative and engaging competition this year!
Our Grade 7 & 8 students will soon participate in our first-ever Meet the Scientist event on June 20th & June 21st. Volunteers from our parent community who are professional scientists, will present to students a brief outline of their work, their inspiration in becoming a scientist, and show examples from the field. Students will pose questions and participate in a discussion round with the scientist over Microsoft teams. In the following week, students will present these “Scientist Profiles” during our Science Expo on July 1st.
Join our Grade 5 & 6 students and Teaching Teams for an Expo at BMS on Monday, June 20th at 3:45pm! The enrichment program in Primary school seeks to give students an opportunity to develop and extend their ability at an advanced level and provide a way to explore and create. As an outcome of this newly implemented program, our students will demonstrate scientific phenomena at the Expo and present their ideas and the connections they made, inviting us to extend our thinking into the realm of "what if".
Our students received their MSA and IGCSE awards in a special ceremony on June 3rd, celebrating their achievements with invited guests and faculty members. Congratulations to our MSA& IGCSE students!
Congratulations to our Grade 6 students & Grade 6 Teaching & CCEP Teams for their outstanding success with this year´s PYP Exhibition, offering our students and invited guests the opportunity to see the many actions and ideas they presented to improve the world around us! A job well done to our independent learners and thinkers in Grade 6!
Our Secondary school library is hosting their very own treasure hunt during the week of June 13th-June 17th, inviting all students to participate in this mystery of islands, clues, and locks with one treasure waiting for the smartest sleuth!
By exploring the mask as a means of role play and identity, our Grade 11 students recently constructed mask pieces. The journey began by observing the role of the mask in cultural and historical contexts and was expanded upon by engaging with tools and processes used by artists n the field, leading finally to some very creative outcomes.
We are excited to unveil the tremendous artwork from our Secondary students, spanning from our IGCSE & DP courses over the last year. It represents the inspiration, planning, execution, and creativity expressed by our engaging students.

A group of our Grade 7 & 8 students recently had their first experience with a ToK-style lesson, enjoying a philosophical question and prompt to examine and discuss in their tutor groups. Led by Secondary tutors, students will analyze these questions over the course of the next 2 weeks, and will give a small presentation on their findings for their peers.
Our DP Theatre students recently participated in a performing arts workshop run by Sam Harvey from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDC), sharing his skills and expertise from Broadway and other global stages with our aspiring actors.
Our Secondary students are collecting their book lists for summer readings, this time to raise funds for the International Book Aid. Students from Grade 7-Grade 12 will collect book sponsors for each magazine, graphic novel, or book they complete over the summer break. Stay tuned for the results in the Academic Year 2022/23!
Congratulations to Anne from Gr. 11 who was recently awarded the “Ambassador for a Day” title, as part of a competition hosted by the British Embassy in Berlin. By submitting an essay on the competition prompt of what issue they would change on the world stage, Anne wrote about resource management and its importance for world governments. Well done, Anne!
Chadha from Grade 6 has been placed on the short list of candidates for the Comic Invasion Awards hosted by the Museum for Communications in Berlin for her cartooning work as part of our CCEP Afterschool Club. Out of a pool of over 100 participants, Chadha is now under the top 10 and will attend an awards ceremony with her fellow nominees on May 15th , where the top 3 winners will be announced. We look forward to updating our community on the results and want to congratulate Chadha on this amazing achievement!
