On 25 March, our Grade 11 IB Diploma students gathered to present their Extended Essay ideas and research plans to an audience of parents, students, and teachers from across the school community. Across nine thematic panels — spanning topics from war and conflict to mathematical modelling, film, economics, and philosophy — students shared their chosen questions and the approaches they plan to take. It was an inspiring glimpse into the curiosity and critical thinking that will shape their essays in the months ahead.
On March 18th, we welcomed representatives from 62 universities across the globe for the AGIS Higher Education Fair. Organised by our University & Career Counselor Dejana Petricic, the event gave our students the chance to explore programmes, ask questions, and take their first steps toward the future. Our classrooms came alive on 13 March during our annual Festival of Learning, as students took centre stage — leading their parents through their learning, showcasing their progress, and reflecting on their learning journey. Alongside this, we were delighted to welcome prospective families to BMS. Through open classrooms and heartfelt speeches, they got a true feel for what makes our school special. There were smiling faces throughout the school, a lovely reminder of what our community is all about.
On March 13th, our Secondary School hosted its annual concert at City Kino Wedding – an evening filled with music, talent, and plenty of well-deserved applause. Together, we raised €2,308.80 for Save the Children, and none of it would have been possible without our incredible students who took to the stage, and everyone who came to cheer them on. Thank you! Our BMS Racing Team has achieved a fantastic success at the regional STEM Racing Germany competition: the team has been named Landessieger for the state of Berlin and has qualified for the German Championship, taking place 22–23 May 2026 at the Audi Experience Center in Neuburg an der Donau. Congratulations to Ruby, Virgil, David, Felix, Mohammed, and Dominic.

Last week, our students welcomed Dr. Syed Tasnim Raza, thoracic surgeon and Professor at Columbia University, for a guest talk on the history of medicine and his work in heart surgery. We are grateful to Dr. Raza for taking the time to speak with our community and inspire our students interested in health, science, and medicine.
We were proud to witness our Primary students demonstrate remarkable courage and creativity as they took to the stage to share their individual talents. The warmth and encouragement shown by the audience truly reflected the spirit of our school community. From 27–30 November, 24 students from Grades 10–12 represented BMS at the 2025 Oxford MUN. Many joined their first conference and impressed throughout—with strong research, confident debating, and a clear understanding of global issues. Their excellent performance was recognised with multiple awards across several committees.
On 21 November, we celebrated BMS Book Day alongside Bundesweiter Vorlesetag, filling the school with read-aloud sessions and shared stories. Our Book Sale & Swap raised over 600 euros for Friedensdorf International—a wonderful moment of community and connection.

Our community came together with peace-themed activities, a moving sing-along of Imagine, and creative fundraising by our Secondary Students supporting Friedensdorf International. Thank you to everyone who joined — together we shared a simple message: peace begins with us.
On 30th August, we celebrated a very special milestone at BMS – the Einschulung of our 1st Graders. A beloved tradition is the Einschulungstüte – a large, colorful cone filled with sweets and small gifts, making the start of school extra joyful. On June 6, 2025, we celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2025. It was a joyful and heartfelt day, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of many new adventures. STEM Week at BMS - It’s a fantastic opportunity to spark curiosity and connect students to the exciting worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Each Grade will explore through hands-on experiments—thank you to all staff for making it happen!
Our annual Sports Days brought students together for two days of movement, teamwork, and shared moments. Secondary took on track and field events, while Primary explored a variety of games and challenges. Thanks to all who helped make it a smooth and enjoyable experience!
