Student Life

Student Life

Student life in the Secondary School is the extension of our curriculum and school ethos. Student life in Secondary permeates all sections of the school and extends beyond academics. Secondary student life encompasses projects, clubs, athletics, student leadership, CAS (Creativity, Action, and Service) initiatives, and opportunities to form deep social bonds with the community.

As an extension of our mission statement, we aim to encourage students to become active and responsible citizens in our global society. In building those skills and a strong sense of identity, we focus on global and local actions within our student activities and greater student life of the school.

In doing so, we seek to allow students to develop not only sound academic expertise but to develop healthy relationships with themselves and with the world around them. We guide our students through this process by establishing bonds through meaningful and engaging collaborations through the city of Berlin and beyond. Whether external or in-house, these collaborations set the standard for implementing our idea of education in a real-world context.

In is our goal that these connections are an inherent part of what it means to be a student of Berlin Metropolitan School. Passion, engagement and a deep connection to their own learning are inherent in our mission to provide a fulfilling and vibrant student life for all BMS Secondary students.
