By filling our school calendar with a variety of events, we try to create many highpoints during the school year that allow us to come together with parents, students and staff in order to experience our sense of community, to celebrate the learning achievements of our students, and to uphold our traditions. By now, these BMS traditions have come to include the spring and winter concerts as well as our legendary summer fest in May, featuring a talent show organized by the Student Council and an art exhibit.

Secondary School marks the time when the aspirations, wishes and visions of our students, who are now teenagers, change. We react to this change and involve our students in shaping our challenging school program. Theatrical performances, concerts, inviting interesting people to participate in workshops, and school dances are now the foundation of an interesting program for the 11-to-15-year-olds.

Our daily school life and school culture are shaped by mutual respect and cooperation. As a school community, we have dedicated ourselves to lifelong learning and work together to create the best conditions for such learning. We have learning mentorships between different grades as well as reading mentorships between first graders and students in higher grades. Students from all grades present their work to each other in the general assembly and our Secondary School students in particular have the task of acting as role models for younger students. We actively involved the Secondary School students in preparing and carrying out aspects of our school program in order to demonstrate that we value them and to give them the opportunity to prove their sense of responsibility and their skills.

An open atmosphere that welcomes everyone and invites them to join in open and respectful exchange is the foundation of the BMS school program with which we seek to inspire our students to grow beyond their boundaries.
