Reading Zlata Filipovic

As an international school, we understand the value of instilling intercultural awareness in our students. For this reason, it was a very special opportunity to be able to welcome visiting author Zlata Filipović to our school, to spend the day with her and learn more about her experience of growing up in Sarajevo during the Bosnian War. Our students had read the diary she kept during those years, published internationally as “Zlata’s Diary,” and it was this book that inspired her visit to our school.
