Which forms are required for signing a contract with Berlin Metropolitan School?
In addition to your Preschool contract, we require the so-called “Kita-Gutschein” in order to register your child in our program. Every child registered in Berlin is entitled to a Kita-Gutschein starting at age 3.

What do I do if my child is currently enrolled in another program?
Please be sure to follow the proper procedures and deadlines for canceling membership at your current program. Submit your Kita-Gutschein to us, once you have received it.

What do I do if I do not yet have a Kita-Gutschein?
Apply for your Kita-Gutschein at your local district office before completing your contract with BMS, if possible. Based on your family’s yearly income and on the hours of care your child will receive, the district officials calculate your monthly fee.

Where and how do I apply for a Kita-Gutschein?
Apply for your Kita-Gutschein as early as possible at your local district office/Kita-Gutschein office. The form can be downloaded here. Upon reviewing your forms, the district office will decide how much care you are eligible to receive and your monthly fee (income-based). You may send your registration form via post or submit it personally.
